Insanity Workout Review

Does Insanity Work For Women and Fat or Skinny People?

Does Insanity work? The answer to this question my friends is entirely dependent on your goals and where you’re starting from. On this page, I will be answering some of the most common questions I’ve seen so far regarding the Insanity workout, and hopefully help you make a more informed decision.

Does Insanity Work For Fat People?

YES, but only if you are fat but fit at the same time. Someone who is fit can be defined as having good muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. Being fat at the same time simply implies that you only have a few extra pounds (usually between 20-30 lbs) covering all your muscles.

People who fit into this category are those who train regularly but can’t seem to lose that stubborn fat . The thing about the Insanity workout program is that you need to have a decent amount of muscle mass to support your weight+gravity when you jump or do explosive movements. If you don’t then you might end up injuring yourself like I did.

NO, if you’re really fat as in obese, this 60 day workout program isn’t for you…yet. Regardless of how “heavy” you currently are, the best thing to do now would be to lower your current amount of fat (at least by half) by improving your EATING and SLEEPING HABITS. You should also begin exercising with weights to build on some lean muscle mass. The best way to go about if you’re a total beginner is to build muscle endurance (13-21 reps range) and then work on lifting heavy (4-6 reps range).

Does Insanity Work For Skinny People?

YES, if you’re skinny but strong. However, don’t go thinking that you’ll be able to pack on a lot muscle mass through the Insanity workouts. You can find a more detailed explanation to this issue on my previous post entitled Does Insanity Build Muscle?

NO, if you’re “skinny fat” because that would imply that you have more fat than muscles. Seeing as how fat takes on more space than muscle mass. If you have that “skinny fat” or “flabby” look, chances are that you currently don’t have the necessary muscle mass needed to support your bodyweight during the workouts. Again, I strongly recommend lifting some weights.

Does Insanity Work For Teenagers?

YES, YES, and YES! In addition to faster recovery and higher levels of growth hormones during your teenage years, working out during these years will help you stay slim and fit for years to come . The only thing I’d recommend doing is to cut back on the time length of these workouts. Instead of doing the full 45 minutes, I’d recommend sticking to only 20 minutes/day especially if you’re in your early teens. Why? Because the Insanity workout is really intense and will take a huge chunk out of your daily calories, which are very much needed at this stage of your life for growth.

Does Insanity Work For Women?

YES! Just as it works for guys, the Shaun T’s workout also works for women. A lot of women have had a lot of success with the Insanity workout.

Does Insanity Work Without The Diet?

NO, although to some extent the Insanity workout does make it possible to cheat. In other words, you don’t necessarily have to follow a strict diet. You can find out why by reading my post on How Does Insanity Work?
